Over the last 20 years, both as a coach and business owner, I have worked with hundreds of high-performers. In that time, I have repeatedly witnessed a specific paradox: People working themselves to exhaustion while telling the world they are "fine."
I have watched talented individuals create high levels of success personally and professionally, while suffering behind the scenes. Time and again, I heard the same refrain: "I just can’t do it anymore."
They weren't failing because they lacked willpower. They were failing because they were suffering from Burnout.
I founded Ascent Coaching & Consulting because we need a better way to talk about Burnout. I use the metaphor of a "Climb" because life is not a flat road.
My mission is to help individuals and organizations map their current location using a data-driven framework—identifying exactly where "good stress" (pressure that drives performance) crosses the line into "burnout" (system collapse).
While everyone has their own definition of success, my goal is to help you find Joy—whether that is in the boardroom, raising a family, or chasing a personal passion.
When I am not mapping an Ascent for a client, I am usually managing my own journey. I am a dedicated runner, constantly learning the balance between pushing for a personal best and listening to my body’s need for recovery. I am also a husband and father, navigating the most important climb of all: family.
Rooted in my background in counseling, I prioritize the human behind the high-performer. I provide the space to acknowledge the weight of your "pack" before we ever attempt to lighten it.
Well-being shouldn’t feel like a guessing game. I use a data-driven framework to help you see exactly how much stress you're carrying, so we can stop guessing and start making real moves toward a better path.
Analysis without action is just a plateau. We work together to implement "Creation by Subtraction", chiseling away the noise and friction to ensure you reach the summit of personal success and abundant joy.
